What To Bring
Documents Keep your documents updated for the travel.
Passport - Photostat copies, original passport shall be given at Nepal-on-arrival. 1: Identity Card
2: Visiting Card
3: Dairy: Addresses, telephone numbers, contacts.
4: Waist Pouch.
5: Ball Pens (spare refills)
6: Maps / Charts / Books of the area.
7: Traveler's cheques, credit cards & currency.
8: Airline / Railway tickets / vouchers.
9: Any other documents for personal use.
Equipments
1: Personal jewellery must be kept to minimum.
2: Camera - Film rolls as required.
3: Torch (waterproof & powerful) spare cells.
4: Video camera - if required
5: Pocket cassette recorder with earphones to listen to music, prayers etc. during travel and also to record daily events.
6: Binoculars.
7: Conventional spectacles - Contact lens not advisable.
8: Cap (Sun / snow / rain protection).
9: Plastic mug.
10: Swiss knife (multipurpose).
11: Leak proof plastics water bottles (for water from Mansarovar and Gauri Kund).
12: Whistle.
Clothing
Light weight suit case / travel bag (take care to keep your baggage simpler and lighter as an emergency may arise where you might have to carry your own baggage against all odds).
1:Pure wool and thick cotton socks. 2: Long Johns (Inners - full fitting) wool or mixed combinations.
3: Down Jacket Light, quilted, (warm and well insulated).
4: Wool pullovers - Polo neck.
5: Flannel shirts.
6: Thick wool trousers.
7:Warm light gloves.
8: Snowcap (with ear covering).
9: Balaclave (wool monkey cap).
10: Scarf
11: Cotton undergarments.
12: Towels.
13: Hot water bottle.
14: Keds / Boots very light, skid proof, water resistant, ankle protection and soft interior - 2 pairs. Break in earlier for comfortable use.
15: Light trek bag (Cameras etc.)
16: Raincoat with hood.
17: Personal clothing as required.
Ladies should select suitable and comfortable clothing accordingly. |
